Job Description

This role requires a self starter and an eagerness to work in a fast-paced scale up with significant accountability. You will be on the front lines of growing DemandJump’s share of the market. You are an expert at qualifying, consulting, connecting, and working deals from Discovery Meeting to Closing. Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively work multiple deals at the same time are essential for this role. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a fast growing, venture-backed startup in the rapidly developing Marketing Technology space. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a healthy pipeline, navigating complex sales cycles and pitching to C-level executives across Software, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail and other sectors. As one of our key sales leaders, you will also participate in product discussions and play a critical role in defining our business and Go-To-Market Strategy

Sales Experience:

  • Successful results in a complex sales environment
  • SAE/Enterprise = minimum of 5+ years of comparable, outside sales experience or AE/Mid-Market = 3+ years
  • Solution / Consultative selling skills
  • Hunter of logos vs. farmer of existing customers
  • Demand creator and opportunity manager
  • History selling for the underdog without name recognition
  • Discipline and confidence to lead prospects through a mutually beneficial due diligence / sales process
  • Apply “Challenger” sales techniques (teach, tailor, take control)

What is a typical day at DemandJump like for an Account Executive (AE), a.k.a. Responsibilities?

  • Run Demo meetings with prospects sourced from SDR and BDR efforts
  • Nurture potential customers throughout the sales process
  • Use multiple prospecting strategies and channels, including account research, cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and video, to lead initial outreach to other prospects 
  • Masterfully navigate between software tools critical to your daily prospecting success, including LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Chorus, ZoomInfo/DiscoverOrg, SalesLoft, and Salesforce
  • Mastering the DemandJump Platform to show soon to be new customers information and capabilities they have never seen before
  • Identifying and empathizing with the needs and challenges of the prospective customer
  • Exercise a deep understanding of our Customer Behavior and Marketing Attribution solutions in order to communicate key value props to prospects
  • Qualify the prospect's interest in solving problems that the DemandJump Platform addresses
  • Collaborate with leadership – Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success – to translate market feedback into our go-to-market approach and product roadmap
  • Be proactive in communicating cross-functionally with the whole company, especially with our Customer Success, Product & Marketing Team
