Software Engineer

Overview:

You are a self-motivated, quick learning, adaptable developer that is not afraid to ask questions, but will always look for answers first. You will contribute to the future of Traffic Cloud by delivering code to support and enhance the platform and you’ll have the opportunity to learn about every facet of the software platform from API design to data analytics.

If you are curious, willing to learn, and want to see your code running in production, then this role is for you.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Proficient in one or more high level languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
  • Experience with Amazon AWS, RDBMS, Git

Extra Consideration for Experience with:

  • Neo4j (or other Graph database)
  • Play Framework, Anorm
  • Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala
  • Kafka, Kinesis
  • ElasticSearch

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Work in a fast paced environment to deliver multi-tiered, enterprise-level, distributed applications
  • Adhere to development best practices
  • Implement code to interface with 3rd party APIs such as Twitter, Facebook, Google Analytics, AWS, etc
  • Create RESTful endpoints for consumption from the DemandJump web application
  • Connect with ElasticSearch, Neo4j, MySQL, and S3 to provide data to various consumers
